Singapore's fresh graduates rank the top 100 employers

The ranking by fresh graduates of Singapore's top 100 employers was revealed in a report released last Wednesday.

The survey, Graduate Barometer 2011, conducted by GTI media and research firm trendence, covered over 5,000 students and fresh graduates.

PwC and Ernst & Young were placed in the 1st and 2nd positions, both among the few biggest global accounting firms that were ranked. Citi Singapore followed in the 3rd spot.

4th: Agency For Science, Technology And Research (A*STAR) - Singapore's lead government agency dedicated to fostering world-class scientific research and talent for a vibrant knowledge-based economy.
5th: KPMG - one of the largest professional services networks in the world
6th: Standard Chartered Bank - multinational financial services company headquartered in London, United Kingdom with operations in more than seventy countries.
7th: HSBC - global banking and financial services company
8th: DBS - bank incorporated in Singapore, with branches numbering more than 100 in islandwide
9th: Deloitte - one of the Big Four accountancy firms along with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Ernst & Young, and KPMG.
10th: Google - American multinational public corporation invested in Internet search, cloud computing, and advertising technologies
11th: Singapore Exchange (SGX)
12th: ExxonMobil - American multinational oil and gas corporation
13th: Shell - global oil and gas company headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands and with its registered office in London, United Kingdom
14th: Marina Bay Sands
15th: Ministry of Edication (MOE)
16th: Rolls-Royce - Power systems provider, designing, manufacturing and supporting a range of products and services for air, sea and land applications.
17th: Universal Studio
18th: IBM
19th: American Express
20th: OCBC Bank

In contrast, a similar survey done by the Rakuten group recently showed IT companies in the top 6 rankings. These were: 1st NTT data, 2nd Fujitsu, 3rd Rakuten, 4th Yahoo Japan, 5th Google and 6th Japan IBM.
